This July, one of Lisbon’s prettiest and most central historical squares, Largo de São Carlos, is once again transformed into a giant outdoor stage showcasing some of the city’s finest talent in the realm of classical music. Festival ao Largo returns for its 2021 edition, and, starting July 9, maestros from Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa, Coro do Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Companhia Nacional de Bailado, Estúdios Victor Córdon, and “many, many more” will be entertaining the public, live (as well as on the interwebs and on the TVs), for three weeks straight (on an almost nightly basis*), free of charge.
Due to current restrictions, space will be limited, so get there early, and don’t forget your mask.
Showtimes are at 21h.
