Hugo Canoilas is a Lisbon native who lives and works in Vienna and New York, and here’s what the Gulbenkian, hosts of his new solo exhibit, say:
“Sculptured in Darkness is a solo exhibition based on a line of investigation that the artist began in 2020, relating to the seabed, one of the most extensive yet unknown territories on Planet Earth. Curated by Rita Fabiana, the exhibition presents an immersive and multi-sensory installation in the Temporary Exhibitions Gallery of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum.”
