to May 4 | WEEKLY ONLINE BOOK CLUB | Crossword with Helena Vasconcelos | FREE

May 4 @ 18:00 - 19:00

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 18:00 on Tuesday, repeating until May 4, 2021

NOTE: You’ll need your Portuguese for this one if you want to discuss (but listening is also welcome, we’re sure).

“From those who write to those who read” is the slogan of Helena Vasconcelos’ weekly Tuesday night ‘Crossword’ series, brought to you via zoom, free of charge, courtesy of the CCB.

And here’s what they write about that:
“How is the path that books take from the moment they leave the hands of those who write them to those who own them? … What is lost and what is gained in this bumpy trip?

This game of complicity that is created (or not) between strangers (who writes and who reads) is one of the mysteries of civilization, in what it has to be more communal, gregarious, intellectual. To discuss and deepen this journey, Helena Vasconcelos talks to two writers and two readers, in four interviews, which can be seen online, and/or on the RTP Palco platform.

At the end of each interview, there will be a suggested reading, and a week later, a session also online, on the Zoom platform, open to the public for those who wish to discuss, analyze, and give their opinion.”
