to Nov 25 | CARTOON EXHIBIT | Luís Afonso: O Homem do Paleolithic | FREE
October 14 @ 10:00 - November 25 @ 18:00FREE
Luís Afonso is, among other things, a 66-year-old Portuguese cartoonist with a degree in geography and a bookshop in Serpa. Here’s what organizers MNAC add:
“Luís Afonso’s work, in an uncomplicated and fun way, is a stage for the visibility of current issues. Therefore, in this MNAC space, cartoons are exhibited with the good-humored stories of Bartoon and other works related to each other through the O Homem do Paleolithic (“The Paleolithic Man”). The show resulted from the careful observation and power of the imagination of cartoonist Luís Afonso on the controversial Côa process, which culminated in the inscription of the engravings on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1998, and in the construction of the iconic Côa Museum.”
The show is up until Nov. 25.
NOTE: MNAC is closed on Mondays.
FREE ENTRY (in the museum’s atrium).
