If you’re a fan of abstract art, mixed media, and what one Atlas friend affectionately calls “drippy paintings,” you won’t want to miss this exhibition of paintings by Ponta Delgada native Teresa Mendoça.

Teresa Mendonça was born in 1948 in Ponta Delgada, Azores. Trained in visual arts, starting her Painting lessons at the College of Doroteias in Lisbon, taught by Master Domingos Rebelo. Influenced by the work of Master Hilário Teixeira Lopes, lately she has developed her pictorial research in the studio of the painter Maria João Franco. She is represented exclusively by MAC since 1996, and has made several exhibitions at Portugal and abroad, mainly in Portuguese speaking countries, including Brazil, Cape Verde and Guinea Bissau, in cooperation with several municipalities, embassies and organizations. Represented in several private collections, national and international, has seen her work being recognized by several distinctions in the last years.
