to Nov 30 | ART EXHIBIT | Desvio by Cláudia Salgueiro | São Bento | FREE
“Apaixonar-te” is the Portuguese verb for falling in love, while “Arte” means… you guessed it — art.
And that’s how local art gallery APAIXONARTE (“falling in love with art,” roughly) got its name.
“Desvio” is the Portuguese word for “detour,” and also the name of the new solo show at APAIXONARTE by Porto-based artist Cláudia Salgueiro.
She describes it as follows:
“A set of drawings that aim to reflect on the act of walking, landscape, nature, body, and movement. Walking is the first and the most primitive way to travel. Like breathing, walking is defined as an unconscious act inherent to all of us.”
This November, why not take a walking detour and go breathe in some art?
Who knows, you might just fall in love…
The exhibition opens on Nov 8th, at 18h, and will be up until Nov 30th.
Mon-Fri – 12h-19h30.
Sat – 11h-16h (closed Sundays).
