Lisbon is about 400 years older than Rome; nevertheless, some of the city’s oldest and coolest ruins are the work of Portugal’s distant cousins to the East.
This weekend, Museu de Lisboa and Teatro Romano invite all modern Lisboetas to get to know their Olisiponese ancestors.
Tons of activities are planned at the historical archaeological find, in the adjacent museum, and the surrounding streets. Historical fun for the whole fam. The organizers say “the festival offers a new perspective on the city and its history.
After all, the Romans were really crazy!”

So, when in Lisbon, act like the Romans.
In other words, go nuts.
But, you know, make sure no one actually loses their head…
