The Museum of Ancient Art (MNAA) is bringing back its popular opera series this summer, inside its lovely garden (which, by the way, you can visit for free at other times by going to the museum’s cafe on the bottom floor). For the opera fans, here’s what the organizers say:
“OPERAFEST LISBOA is back in its 4th edition, from 18th AUGUST to 9th SEPTEMBER, to the marvellous Garden of MNAA, under the moto “From heaven to hell” with vibrating opera for everyone! Human supreme desires and fears lead this year’s edition!”
Tickets for Carmen, Suor Angelica, and Magic Flute here (Atlas receives a nominal commission).
A preview:
On Sept. 9, there’s also an “Operatic Rave.” No info on tickets as of yet, but here’s what you should expect: “Operafest’s Lisboa final show, emblematic operatic rave, offers the experience of opera pop fusion. Between sacred and profane, divine and evil, dancing opera until the end, the sky is the limit to party in operatic frenzy. Djs, opera singers, pop bands, electronic and much more!”
Sounds very Lapa!
