The Loreto Gallery is one of five galleries that were part of the Aqueduto das Águas Livres system. Its length, totally buried, is 2835 meters. This tour leads you along the following underground route: Start at the Casa do Registo, adjacent to the Mãe d’Água Reservoir in Amoreiras, and travel inside the Rua das Amoreiras tunnel to Largo do Rato, Rua da Escola Politécnica, Rua D. Pedro V, and Rua da Misericórdia, all the way to Largo de São Carlos.
You must make a reservation in advance by phone or email. Tours are in English and Portuguese.
