This July, the CCB presents a free evening DJ set in their Olive Tree Garden every Saturday night, and here’s what they say about the next three:

16 JUL: Mr. Mitsuhirato.
Hugo Moutinho was founder and co-publisher of the mythical magazine Mondo Bizarre and currently divides his time between the record store Louie Louie and the record labels Discotexas and Table Sports. He is the author of remixes of songs by artists such as Django Django and Moullinex and today you can hear him on the show Hoje Acordei Assim (Today I Woke Up Like This) on Radio Futura. On the dance floor, Mr. Mitsuhirato’s approach is uncompromising: he goes as much for indie as for disco or electronica. Everything is mixed to generate the essential premise: the will to dance.

23 JUL: Who are you, Laura Santos?
João Vaz Silva selects the ingredients for a meal that can come from the golden decade of Portuguese yé-ié, from the backdrop of the 1960s London telephony, from a 1970s Parisian film, or from a dance classic from the 1980s. And there is nothing to stop the mixing desk covered in vintage naperons from firing off some earwormy modern-day theme.

30 JUL: Groove Armanda.
Armanda Santana is an advertising executive by profession and a collector of songs in her spare time. She debuted at Incógnito as Groove Armanda, and since then she has taken her playlists to various chapels of Lisbon’s nightlife, always with a spontaneous selection inspired by the soundtrack of her days.
