From the moment we entered the beautifully decorated restaurant, Altas had a fantastic experience from starter to dessert. The staff was helpful, professional, and attentive even during the busy lunch service. We started with two glasses of the Monte Pulciano by the glass and paired it with the truffled burrata, which was creamy and elegantly smattered with just the right amount of truffle oil. The star of the show, however, was the freshly made pasta.
We went for the Francesco carbonara and the carmela mushroom fettuccini, which were cooked to perfection. A neighboring table opted for the homemade ravioli of the day, which brought on a serious wave of FOMO and a hankering to return. The sauces were spectacular adaptations of traditional Italian recipes with fantastic options for vegetarians, so our guess is no matter what you end up ordering, you won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to save room for the divinely light Tiramisu, and hell, maybe a grappa or two. A great option for lunch in an otherwise meh area for decent restaurants.
