Free Gira Bikes for all Lisbon residents starting today | Sapo/Lusa (PT)

To get on Lisbon’s bike-sharing platform for free,”…it is necessary to prove that they are residents of Lisbon, so they must present themselves at an EMEL store (Company for Mobility and Parking in Lisbon that manages Gira) with proof of residence, through any invoice, for free use of Gira, according to [Lisbon Mayor] Carlos Moedas,” Sapo writes.

The system has its quirks, and they’re many, but EMEL has at least been adding stations across the city. Let’s see if they can keep up with repairs now…
