This restaurant is a much-needed escape from the neighboring restaurants, especially for that pre- or post-movie dinner and drink. Located just across from Cinematica is this mid-range restaurant by celebrated chef Olivier. Their focus is on oversized portions, easy dining, greasy fingers, and somehow finding room to splurge on dessert, hence the name, Guilty. Atlas was invited to try out the menu and we haven’t felt the least bit guilty since accepting the offer, especially because we don’t allow guilt to spoil our indulgence! We began with the mac and cheese (I’m from the Sothern USA, so my standards are quite high on this dish) which was an absolute delight, and reminiscent of the traditional soul food restaurants in Tennessee. The huge “fat duck” calzone came next, with a light drizzling of truffle oil over the cheese, mushroom, and pulled duck base. Sharing became difficult at this point as my partner showed signs of greed (the sin, not the name of the other pizza dish), but I managed to get a fork in and elbow my way to my fair share. Lastly, we tried the petit gateau for dessert and almost fell out of our seats. The chocolate eruption that came from inside this overturned hot chocolate cake was like a spring of sinful delights that left us full and planning our inevitable return.
