Halloween may be an imported holiday, but Lisbon’s gearing up for the celebration like pros all the same. Campuses and venues are planning cool themed parties and costumes are becoming obligatory. Oct. 27

Once Upon a Time Halloween Party
Where: Kings and Queens Club, Docas
When: 23h – 5h
How Much: 8€ before 1h and 10€ after
Dress Code: Elegant Masquerade
Entry price includes one mixed drink or two shots. First prize for best costume is 100€.

Egas Halloween Party
Where: Campus Universitário
When: 22h – 4h
How Much: Free – 5€
Free with student card or 5€ otherwise, but that gets you a free beer. Masquerade contest for prizes. Free shot with costume. “When the sun sets and the moon appears, the party starts.”

AEESTeSL Halloween Party
Where: ESTSL
When: 23h – 5h
How Much: 5€
The AEESTeSL has prepared for you the scariest party of the year: Low prices, masks, contests, and more. Start thinking on your costume because the best mask wins a bottle of vodka. “More surprises to come!” Wristbands are available at the image store AEESTeSL.

Chimera Brewpub Halloween Party

“Halloween party with good music and the best beers. Come watch the concert and enjoy our specialties: New York deli sandwiches. We’ll open the tunnel doors to a musical experience! The concert starts at 9pm performed by Dani Californi and Verena, Raquel Nicoletti and Adam Heller. Yes, us, your lovely servants, will leave the taps and be part of the band. Handcrafted beer, good food, fun, good music and tricks!”

Theatro Clube Two-Day Halloween Party
Where: Theater Club, Cacém
When: Oct. 29 and 30, 22h
How Much: 10€
“This year, the Terror is two brutal nights of great animation as per tradition. Special decor, Theatre Group, Fire show, Face Paint, and other terrors. Advance purchase for two days includes four drinks: juice/beer or two mixed drinks. Tickets are available at: Theatro Club, Calimero-Café, Papelaria do intermaché do Cacem, Pãozinho do Bairro, Nosso Café, Café Miminho do Eureka, Burger and Company, Aromas de Mira-Sintra, Café Farinha, Coop 2 Mira-Sintra e Café Moulin Rouge.”

Halloween Nights at the Medieval Pub
Where: Pub Medieval Casa do Fauno, Sintra
When: 29 – 31 of October, 19h – 2h
How Much: FREE
Wanna dress like a wench this year? A knight? Come check out the “Samhain” specialties and on the 31st at 22h30, live medieval music with CORNALUSA. The party lasts for three nights, so if you’re out and about in Sintra looking medieval, it’s worth a shot! (Or two.)

Oct 31 (Halloween)

Fiesta de los Muertos
Where: Fabrica Braço de Prata

“Party incognito at an old book store. There will be Mexican food, tequila happy hour(s), and a party with live music by Los Kalaveros with Victor Zamora and Diego el Gavi, and DJ Ra.”

Noche de los Muertos
Where: Club Noir Lisboa

How Much: 6€
Alternative 80s, post-punk, new wave, and synth with host Apátrida + VLord (Guest). Why not give it a go with the face paint this year? You’ll get two free beers/juices or one mixed drink with the price of admission. The decoration will be in the style of  “The Night of the Dead” by My name is MUER†E.

Lisboa Halloween Parade
Where: Av. Guerra Junqueiro, Praça de Londres & Av. de Roma
When: 21h – 23h30
How Much: FREE
“Witches, vampires, ghosts or werewolves, it’s a parade of ghouls, so put your mask (or don’t if you look ghoulish enough) and celebrate!” The best costumes will win prizes in various categories. Kid-friendly. Free to participate or watch, or both.

The Apocalypse Party
Where: Stairway Club, Cascais

“To celebrate whatever is good about America, we will prepare a party with a beautiful decoration, beautiful sound, and BOO …. some scares!” Price of entry includes a shot or soft drink.

Trash Circus 669 Show: The Torture Terror Cult

“Despised subjects of Darkness and the world of the dead; Nymphomaniacs, witches, vampires both active and retired, Zombies uninhibited, horny ghosts and space creatures, we invite you WORMS, the underworld of this society, to come out of your hole and come delight in the blood of the living!” Must be over 18.
