The Ukranian couple Hanna and Misha Lytvynenko currently own and operate Atlas’ “Best Of Lisbon 2019” award-winning Heim Cafe (for their Instagramable pancakes) and the modest Seagull Method Cafe in Santos and Principe Real, respectively. Once the duo had mastered the art of brunch (still waiting on those bloody marys, guys!), they decided to try their capable hands at Greek cuisine in September of 2021, and the result has been a triumph.

The minimalist decor with high ceilings, unobtrusive art, and bright details in Hellenic blue create an inviting setting for the delicious menu, all of which is ripe for food pornographistas to butter up their insta feed. The products used behind the scenes are 70% Greek, making this spot as close to the real deal as you can get in Lisbon at present, and Misha has learned first-hand in Greece how to prepare its iconic dishes — with his own twist, of course.

Start off with a Greek beer (Mythos or Fix), or choose a Greek wine from the menu like the Retsina Kechribari. When it comes to food, we recommend sharing your plates: opt for the tzatziki and pita for sure, then go for the gemista (tomatoes stuffed with rice and vegetables) and the chicken souvlaki. Save room for the honey-soaked Loukoumades with ice cream and pistachios for dessert and you won’t be disappointed.
