The name of this new restaurant is a mouthful, but so is its excellent poke, the yummy, refreshing traditional Hawaiian dish that uses raw fish as its base for an Asian-influenced assault on your senses. Local, for short, does it right if you know what you want: for a do-it-yourself poke, you get several choices of fish, sauces, complements AND toppings, which seems, frankly, like too much choice. But the options are excellent and you’ll quickly find yourself pairing stuff you never thought possible. For those less adventurous but still intent on jumping on the poke bandwagon, there are preset options too. It’s on the pricey side here, but everything is done to perfection, starting with the fish itself, which was some of the freshest we’ve tasted in Lisbon. The staff is pretty attentive too here, and we hope they keep it up.
