The Money Museum is based in the downtown neighborhood of Baixa and occupies what was once the church of São Julião. It takes you on an interactive trip through the history of money (both in Portugal and the world at large) and provides a hands-on experience for any age. It is especially good for families, since there is in-depth info for adults as well as movable maps, augmented reality, and quizzes to keep the kids distracted. There’s a wonderful section on Lisbon archeology, and temporary art exhibits as well.
