Currency from all over the globe decorates the walls between framed letters and postcards from past clients who had obviously fallen in love with this rustic, traditional meat-a-thon spot in Praça da Espanha. Before or after a show at the Gulbenkian, if there’s time, it’s worth grabbing a table if there’s one available. The word is out on this spot, especially among the orchestra. Many of them go to shove melty bits of steak into their faces after the show, with their instruments beside them.
The staff is exceedingly friendly, but has a knack for knowing when to leave you alone. The wine selection is mighty extensive, though they often don’t have what you’re requesting in stock. Don’t despair. There’s plenty of other great options they’ll readily recommend to compensate.
