Portugal begins administering AztraZeneca vaccine again as of today | Público (PT)

Continental Portugal resumed giving the AztraZeneca vaccine this Monday. This comes in the wake of a momentary suspension of the vaccine over reports of blood clotting.

The Island of Madeira recommenced the vaccine last Friday and the Azores took it up again on Saturday.

This news comes as reports show that trials in Chile, Peru, and the United States found the vaccine was 79% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19, and didn’t present a heightened risk of blood clots, according to Reuters
