Portuguese agency replacing SEF aims to process 600K residency permits by end of March | Público

The new Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) plans to “focus on digitalization to facilitate and speed up the residence assignment process,” according to Público, which cites Deputy Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ana Catarina Mendonça Mendes, who’s responsible for overseeing the new agency.

“But they will also increase the number of branches and employees,” Público writes.
