Great views and pricy food for a pseudo-elitist break from the crowds below
The overly-friendly polyglot waitstaff is there at your service to make you feel swanky and pampered as you chow down on inventive dishes on their constantly-evolving menu. We tried the passion fruit and asparagus salad, the chilled strawberry gazpacho soup served over a sliver of pickled mackerel, ceviche with, oversized capers, and finally, the flavorful bull steak served medium-rare. Since it was brunch time, we also opted for the bloody mary, which was less mary and more blood, no horseradish in sight, and overly easy on the cracked pepper. For the price, we certainly enjoyed the view, but when it came right down to it, that’s mostly why we went. Inventive doesn’t always equal a fantastic dining experience, but the fresh bread and the friendly staff made up the difference. You’ll likely leave satisfied with that alone until your credit card statement comes.
