Now that the weather is starting to get nicer in Lisbon, there are quite a few people out with sketchpads and easels. So we collected some artist renderings of Lisbon for a dose of inspiration.
Many of these drawings were done in conjunction with the group Urban Sketchers, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering the art of on-location drawing. Members of the group frequently sketch together on location, indoors or out. Recently, on International Poetry Day, March 22, some of the USkPortugal sketchers met in Parque dos Poetas, in Oeiras.
Are you inspired yet? Good. Their next meet-up in Lisbon will be on the 25th of April, which will commemorate the 41st anniversary of the Carnation Revolution. There will be two sessions, one at 10:30-13:30 at Largo do Carmo, and another at 15h-18h at Terreiro do Paço.
