The Iberico ham is expertly sliced off the leg from right behind the bar, the kitchen has added a secret magic potion to the marinated olives, and that’s just the beginning. This traditional tasca on the border between Rato and Amoreiras does not disappoint, from soup to nuts. Start with the vegetable espinafres soup, continue on to the costeletinhas de borrego (little lamb chops) served alongside the most delicately-cut thin potato crisps you’ve yet to try. If you have room left, go for the tarte de amêndoa (almond tart) for dessert. The bill will be the biggest treat of them all, because this meal will feed two well for next to nothing.
