In past Atlas “Best of Lisboa” awards, this place has swept various categories, but it has been mentioned consistently in one way or another. From the friendly service to the Eden-like courtyard, to the impressive menu, this Vietnamese restaurant just off of Avenida Liberdade has it all. For a go-to spot to eat before a show at Tivoli or Cinema São Jorge, or just to feed a group with a range of dietary restrictions, look no further.

Essentially, just thinking about this place makes us want to go and gorge ourselves on the Special Bambu Plate, which is a mix of spring and summer rolls, shrimp tempura, and crunchy wontons. We generally follow this with a phở or bún dish, and, call it a day unless there’s room for a special shake or another glass of wine from the tiki bar.

The conversation as we leave is always the same: When can we go back? Furthermore, almost everyone we have introduced to Tré Bambu has returned more than once…and I’d say that’s a pretty good sign.
