You don’t need a tuxedo, or even a ticket, to enjoy some of Portugal’s finest classical performances this July. Festival ao Largo returns with three weeks of free open-air opera, orchestral concerts, and ballet, this year taking over the Central Square at the CCB while São Carlos National Theatre undergoes renovations. Expect everything from Mozart and Puccini to Rossini, alongside performances by the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the National Ballet Company, and the São Carlos Choir.
