Cases of the coronavirus in Portugal rose by 1,350 in 24 hours, which makes yesterday the largest single-day increase since late February, according to Reuters. This jump brought the total number of cases in Portugal up to 860,365.
The vast majority of these cases (69%) were reported in or around Lisbon, which is being left behind as other areas of the country have restrictions loosened. Ministers are again meeting today to discuss next steps.
